The rubrics used to assess the fitness portfolio (20 worksheets plus the Fitnessgram) are as follows: Please note that the grading system used in Physical Education is O, S, and N.
 
 

Rubric #1-The student is able to complete all assignments for the fitness portfolio.
O-Outstanding

S-Satisfactory

15-19 worksheets are enclosed

N-Needs Improvement

Rubric #2-The student shows an understanding of each adventure stop by giving correct responses on task sheets.
O-Outstanding 

Answers demonstrate knowledge above expectations. Facts were correct. Descriptions were clear and concise.

S-Satisfactory

Answers demonstrate adequate knowledge. Most facts were correct. Descriptions were clear.

N-Needs improvement

Answers demonstrated limited knowledge. Facts showed many inaccuracies. Descriptions were somewhat confusing.


 
 
 
 

Rubric #3-The student participates in  the Fitnessgram-Physical Fitness Test and can identify the different health related components for each test given and can identify the "Healthy Fitness Zone" by reading the chart.
O-Outstanding

Identifies all 6 components and can read the chart.

S-Satisfactory

Identifies 4 or 5 components and can read the chart
with assistance.

N-Needs Improvement

Identifies less than 4 components and needs assistance to read the chart.
