    Food helps you grow, makes you strong, and helps you stay healthy. Food gives you energy that you need to work and play. Some foods taste good, but do not help us stay healthy. It is all right to eat these foods sometimes, but the other foods are more healthy for us.

What are Nutrients?

    Nutrients are found in food. There are six groups of nutrients:
carbohydrates
vitamins
fats
minerals
proteins
water
Each nutrient provides something important. Most foods provide more than one nutrient.

A balanced diet is important for Good Health

    A balanced diet includes foods from each food level with more servings from the bottom of the food pyramid.
